• Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a group of inherited blood disorders that affect the red blood cells. In people with SCD, the red blood cells, which are normally round and flexible, become rigid and shaped like a crescent or sickle.
  • These sickle-shaped cells can block blood flow and break down more quickly than normal red blood cells, leading to various health problems.
Our Vision

To unite all organizations dealing with Sickle Cell Disease in Kenya, advocating for the highest standards of care, education, and research.
